Dormancy Trail consists of trails of chocolate bugs, circulating in and around airconditioning units. As a result of humans being forced to create artificial climates in order to make domestic spaces liveable, bugs are attracted to hibernate into our homes. In these closed-off spaces, nature is still not exterminateable. Fluctuating seasonly temperatures cause bugs to hibernate and seek places to melt together in clumps. In this work I take an observational approach, rather than a critical one, as I inspect current global issues the world face today. Two ways of man-made, nature- mimicking phenomenons come together in one installation where the coexistence of humans and nature, and the cute and unsettling is investigated.
